Motivating your Sales Staff

Postby Niteshbharadwaj on November 10th, 2008, 11:00 pm

All the appreciation in the world isn't enough to keep one motivated all year round, specially if that one happens to be a sales person :P
So what do you suggest would be the best ways to keep that motivation going !?!

The best kind of motivation is self-motivation.
The second best kind of motivation is money.
There is no third best.

Appreciation is many a time a prelude to a nice juicy hike/incentive or something in kind that would validate the appreciation. Now, what can be good enough to show your appreciation?
Something that surely mite take it home and would definitely motivate me would be a cool new iPod/iShuffle. This should keep you singing all year long...

Speaking about the iPod as a gift, I did a quick search and came across this site http://ipodyourlife.co.in/make_it.aspx.
Could be the answer to your gifting problems.

We keep our sales staff motivated by adding a little competition each week, for example we work on a poinbts system where you get points for achieving certain things and the person with the most points on a Friday after lunch gets to go home early.

Also show appreciation and praise when things are going well, keep the buzz and hype going in the team and it seems to work well :P
[u]Find Sales Jobs you like and and you will add 5 days to every week with jobsin sales.
