Is Cv Writing the way forward or not?

I just wanted an opinion as I am a bit confused over this whole thing.

At the moment there seems to be this big craze over having your CV professionally done by a CV Writing service. I just wanted to know if anyone has had it done or if anyone you know has?

A few of my friends have used this service and I am getting mixed views on whether is a good thing to use or not? I mean does it make a difference beyond what you could do yourself?

I mean at this time of year people spend a lot of time looking for new jobs – I was just wondering whether having your CV done is now part of the must have things fir getting a new job?

What are your thoughts on this?
