Ultimately, staying in the game is the deepest Why behind our decisions.

When examining how we make our decisions, we ask ourselves what kind of outcome we want. And then we ask what it is about that outcome that we want. We continue going deeper until we reach that ultimate Why, which is often simply to stay in the game (stay in business, stay alive, etc).

Simon Sinek writes about this in his book, “The Infinite Game”.
